Service and Selling workshops
If you’re looking to join us in a customer-facing role, we’ve got four interactive workshops that will give your performance a boost. There are sessions on providing the ultimate service and up-serving and adding value to the customer experience. We will also equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for service recovery, for the times where things don’t go to plan and guests aren’t receiving a positive experience. Ultimately, you’ll gain confidence and be able to resolve guests’ concerns in a thoughtful and professional manner.
Supervisory, Management and Leadership workshops
If you’re looking to take up a senior role with us and feel like you could do with a bit of extra training, we’ve got good news! Six different workshops will be ready and waiting for you, including hiring for success, managing your team (the legal bits), on-the-job training, holding a great job chat and managing staff sickness, absence and performance. You’ll also have the option to get involved in a ‘finance for non-finance managers’ workshop which will give you an understanding of your financial responsibility and in using EFTEs.
HR and Coaching workshops
Suitable for supervisors, managers and leaders, our HR clinics will provide short, sharp and informative sessions to help you hone your coaching skills. For something a little more tailored and confidential, you can take part in a one-to-one coaching session to explore your management style with our very own Group Management Performance Coach.
Health and Safety workshops
We’ve got bitesize health and safety workshops on the agenda which are available to everyone, as well as the opportunity to become trained in first aid.
We all know the importance of emotional wellbeing in the workplace and the effect it has on our job performance (don’t forget to read our blog post on this!), so we’ve put together two informative and inspiring workshops for our team members. The first focuses on looking after yourself and developing healthy coping mechanisms when stressed. The second aims to support you when confronted with change and to help you adapt to new ways of working. We’re also delighted to share that our hotels each have a handful of Mental Health First Aid Champions (MHFA) and all staff members have the opportunity to be trained in mental health first aid.
Team Building workshops
Whether you’re hoping to join the Front of House team or HR, we’ve designed a whole range of team building workshops which can be delivered for individual teams within the hotel. Totally bespoke and tailored to the team’s requirements, your relationship with your colleagues will flourish, helping you all ultimately deliver better customer service.
Workshops for Everyone
Regardless of your role in the hotel you can sign up to any of the six general workplace workshops designed to improve your time with us. Think self-awareness and confidence-building, learning how to make good decisions, a look at our values and vision plus a diversity, inclusion, equity and equality class. We also have sessions that focus on time management which aim to help you understand the root causes of procrastination, before creating an individual time management plan of your own.
